Nadwa 2009
In October 2009 the inaugural IPAF Nadwa took place, a workshop in Abu Dhabi for emerging Arabic writers from across the Arab world.
Eight emerging writers travelled to Abu Dhabi’s Liwa Desert for eight days of intensive writing, discussion and debate. These authors were identified by former IPAF judges as ‘ones to watch’, and the Nadwa is an opportunity to hone their skills under the tutelage of two former IPAF shortlisted authors, Inaam Kachachi and Jabbour Douaihy.
The workshop was sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Western Region.
