Eissa Nasiri is a Moroccan novelist and short story writer, born in M’Rirt, Morocco, in 1985. He obtained an M.A. in Language Development and Issues of Literary Terminology from the Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdallah University in Fes, and currently works as a secondary school teacher of Arabic Language. His published works include The Fanged Monster (short story collection, 2016) and The Mosaicist (2023), his debut novel. In 2014, he was awarded the Ahmed Bouzfour Prize for Young Arab Short Story Writers for The Fanged Monster; and in 2017, he won the Moroccan Writers’ Union Prize for Young Writers in the Short Story category for his collection Blindness of the Ghosts.
