Ahmed Menour is an Algerian novelist, short story writer, playwright and translator, born in El Ançor, Algeria, in 1945. He is a former Lecturer in Higher Education at the University of Algiers. He specialises in Algerian literature written in Arabic and French. His published works of fiction include For Both Their Sakes, I Lived (2019), which tells the life story of Abdelhamid Ben Badis; and the novels The Prince Returns in the Middle of the Night (2021), The Great Bazaar (2022) and Storm over the Islands (2022). He has also written three novels for young adults.
