Hussein Yassin

Hussein Yassin is a Palestinian writer, born in the village of 'Arrabat al-Battuf in northern Galilee in 1943. In 1973 and 1976 respectively, he obtained degrees in Economics and Accounting from Leningrad and Haifa Universities, as well as a qualification in Insurance from Tel Aviv College in 1993. His working life was spent in accountancy, in an insurance company in Ramallah and a Palestinian research centre. He is the author of three novels: Lanterns of Gloom (2006); Duha (2012) and Ali, the Story of an Honourable Man (2017). He retired in 2010 and lives in Jerusalem.
