Nadwa 2017: Oman
In November 2017 the inaugural Nadwa: Oman took place, hosted by the Cultural Club in association with IPAF.
Seven emerging writers from across the Arab World travelled to the Atana Hotel in Musandam for seven days of intensive writing, discussion and debate. The workshop was led by two leading names in Arabic literature: Mohammed Hasan Alwan and Jokha al-Harthi
The participating writers range in age from 28 to 42 years old, and come from five countries: Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Oman. They have been identified by the organisers as emerging talent, following an application process.
