Doha Al-Refai (Jordan) was born in 1986. She works in the fields of writing and social media and as a researcher in a non-profit organisation. She has won several prizes for her literary work, including the Prize for Youth Creativity awarded by the Jordanian Ministry of Culture in 2009, for her published novel Angel of Truth, and the Jordanian Writers' Union Prize for her manuscript The Fox. She took part in a festival for short story writers organised by the University of Philadelphia in Jordan, and last year worked with a literary forum which holds discussions of the most important recently published Jordanian novels and short stories, in the "Book on the Table" project. She has published articles on literary websites such as Ultrasawt and the Huffington Post and PEN and for newspapers such as Jordan’s Al-Rai'.
