Yahya Yakhlif

Yahya Yakhlif is a Palestinian novelist. He was born in Samakh in 1944 and has lived as a refugee for most of his life. He is the author of several short story collections and three novels. His novel A Lake Beyond the Wind, a fictionalised account of the last days of Samakh in the winter and spring of 1948, was published in English by Interlink Books (US) in 2003.
