Amina Hachimi Alaoui

Amina Hachimi Alaoui obtained a degree in Political Science from the College of Law, Mohammed V University, in Casablanca. She is the founder of two libraries: the Book Forum (1984) and the Arts Forum (1995). These two libraries have encouraged reading and cultural awareness as well as organising a number of festivals and cultural symposiums. She is also a founding member of the Moroccan Association for Book Professionals and director of Yanbow Al Kitab publishing house, which specialises in literature for children and adolescents. Through the "Book for Every Child" project, she is involved in running workshops aimed at fostering a love of cultural heritage and reading among young people and establishing libraries in schools, in association with various organisations across Morocco.
